One of finest horn-driven outfits ever to grace a stage anywhere anytime!

If you see the Quadraphonnes live at a festival or club, they will most likely have their rhythm section! Bass and drums for sure, but you can expect guest apperances from guitarists, percussionists and keyboard players. The song list  includes  original tunes from their album, "Get the Funk Out" and a soulful mix of funk, latin, rock and Jazz, often inspired by New Orleans brass bands. To contrast the flavor of the saxophones, you will hear hot vocals from Chelsea Luker, Mieke Bruggeman and Michelle Medler.

You may also catch the Quads as just a saxophone quartet, maybe at a wedding or party or in a park. Expect to hear anything from Jazz, to classical, to rock. For chamber concerts or recitals, they play as traditional quartet, they perform works from Bozza, Glass, Cage, Bach, Debussy, Glazunov, Piazzola, newly composed chamber music, etc.

In December, you might find them busking in the city streets or at a house-party spreading holiday cheer!

Fun Fact:

Quadraphonnes saxophone quartet commonly MIS-SPELLED as: QuadROphonnes QuadraphoNes (only one 'n'). QuadRAphoNNes is actually spelled with two N's. Why Quadraphonnes? Why two N’s? Much of the great literature written for saxophone is French. The French language uses ‘masculine’ & ‘feminine’ endings for various nouns. Such as, the word for boys = Fils & girls = Filles. When we assiduously decided on our name, we went with a feminine ending, et voilà!
